Why yes, I do make house calls! Case in point, one of my favorite past and future clients asked me to come by her house and take some updated pictures of all four of her kids. Along with some super stiff British passport pictures (don’t even THINK about grinning). These kids have grown so much in the 2 years since I photographed them at the Grapevine Train Depot, it’s not even right. By “kids”, I mean of course “teenagers”…or at least they are now. For comparison’s sake, I’ll give you a brief little then and now:
Beautiful images as always, Robin! I dig the textures here. Very captivating gestures too. Win!
Love love love that last photo!!
You may notice some things are changing around here… well I decided not to take the blog down while I make changes, so for the time being please bear with me! Everything that’s up should work, but not everything…like my portfolio links…are complete yet. Ultimately, this blog will take over my websites and retain most of the functionality of the sites in one central, much-easier-to-update location. Which will make me a much happier photographer![]()

Last year I was approached by a Girl Scout associate who asked if I was interested in teaching an IP class to cadet-level Girl Scouts (forgive me if I got any of the lingo wrong!). I said yes, and have had 3 classes that I’ve taught so far. The most recent troop from Frisco just walked out the door, but that reminded me I wanted to post some pictures sent in to me by the previous class from Plano. These girls are all so excited about photography, it makes my heart all warm and fuzzy! I really never knew enough about photography at their age (middle school) to consider it as a career, but I so wish I had. If I had studied this in college, I might remember to take my lens cap off before I start trying to shoot my clients. If only!
Anyway, here are some of the awesome submissions from the Plano troop. Their assignment was to take some of what they learned at our class and go home and get creative, then send me their favorite! What do you think? Future rockstars? I think so!

10 months ago, I had the pleasure of photographing little Miss D when she was brand new. The 6 month session that ended up a 10 month session, but well worth the wait. I love watching these babies grow! She was so curious, so content, so FAST! It’s easy to forget just how much a baby that age understands and can communicate, and just amazing that they learn it so fast.
Anyway, thank you again Mom & Dad, for letting me continue to photograph your beautiful baby girl. And for sticking with me even thought you got to see the “old office”. I promise to have the A/C working next time you come up![]()

I love you, blog stalker
I don’t think it was her wedding ring, but it was a ring. Baby girl likes her bling and we were pulling out all the stops to keep her in one spot for as long as possible. You speak 10 month old, I know you do!
Is that a wedding ring in her other hand? Great pics, of course.
